International Tax Reporting and Compliance

At Packman, Neuwahl & Rosenberg, we help U.S. citizens and residents (current and prospective) who live outside of the U.S., own assets or conduct business outside of the U.S., or who are  members of a multi-cultural family comprised of U.S. and non-U.S. persons understand their U.S. tax and reporting obligations with respect to the U.S. tax reporting of certain non-U.S. assets and financial accounts, interests in non-U.S. corporations or non-U.S. partnerships and funds, and the receipt of foreign gifts or distributions from foreign trusts.

If a U.S. citizen or resident is not compliance with their U.S. and reporting obligations, our team at Packman Neuwahl & Rosenberg can provide guidance and assistance on how to address such non-compliance by reviewing alternatives such as the IRS Streamlined Procedures, IRS Delinquent Procedures or making a voluntary disclosure with the IRS.

We regularly work with certified public account firms to coordinate the preparation and submission of U.S. tax returns and information forms as part of the foregoing process.  Our U.S. tax and reporting expertise also encompasses providing advice on the Foreign Account Tax and Compliance Act and the associated disclosures and reporting as applicable to U.S. persons and entities.
