Experience
Jacob L. Ratzan is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law and serves on the Florida Bar Immigration & Nationality Law Certification Committee.  He has also served as the Chapter Chair of the South Florida Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Mr. Ratzan’s practice primarily consists of employment-based and family-based immigration.

Mr. Ratzan is admitted to practice in Florida and New York and in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.

Mr. Ratzan has been a frequent lecturer and moderator at immigration law conferences, including:

  • AILA National Conference (speaker) (2015)
  • AILA South Florida CLE conferences (speaker and moderator) (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016)
  • AILA South Florida luncheon CLE seminars (speaker and moderator) (2011-2016)
  • Immigration 101: And Introduction to Immigration Law (speaker) (2016)

He has also authored and published multiple articles on immigration law.
Mr. Ratzan is fluent in Spanish, having lived in Spain and Chile.
